Handling Attacks From GREEN-EYED MONSTERS

THE GREEN-EYED MONSTER

Actors are people too. Because of this we are susceptible to jealousy, both receiving the green-eyed monster and “sharing” our green-eyed monster.

Let’s say you are excelling in your craft. It’s a daily work in progress and you’ve… done your time.

You know all the sacrifices because you initiated them. It’s made you stronger both as an actor and as a person.

All of the sudden, a green-eyed monster looks or reacts to you in a certain way. It feels like a slap in the face even though you did nothing wrong.

So, what’s the reason for this green-eye?

*Jealousy at its root, is a type of self-loathing. It has nothing to do with you.

Nothing.

Achievements are a double-edged sword.

They shape and mold you into the person you were born to be and slices open others consciousness of who they “could become” if only they would face their fears and doubts.

The good news is you are not responsible for their feelings or reactions.

Like I said, jealousy is a type of self-loathing, and is rooted in fear.

I encourage you to keep going and pushing ahead. Use those green-eyed moments to propel you forward.

Oh, and don’t allow the green-eyed monster to get inside YOU.

As travel on your unique journey in life, seek out all the wisdom you can!

Realize that “THEY” are your opportunity to grow into a better actor and human being.

Learn from the best by asking questions and model those you admire.
